Antiseptic/CY-1 Kathon

CY-1 Kathon: 5-Chlorine-2-methyl-4heterothiazoline-3-Ketome
Property and application: high-efficiency, wide-range preservative. Its main composition content is isothiazolin ketone compound which is regarded all over the world as an effective wide-range sterilization antimidew agent with well recognized safety, no poison, gentleness to skin, no stimulation to eye mucous membrane. Being substitute of paraben ester and formyl benzene. It is widely used in cosmetics industry.

Application:
1) Antiseptic of shampoo, cosmetics and mouss
2) Disinfector of packing container and equipment
3) Cleaning agent of dishes, antiseptic and disinfectant of industrial lotion

It has strong function to kill bacteria, epiphyte and barm, and only 0.1 0/oo (0.1 part in one thousand) thickness can achieve very good effect of killing bacteria and restrain epiphyte. But still the usage Reference is recommended to use.

Usage reference:
1) When used to kill bacteria, the added proportion need to reach 1 0/oo 
    (one part in one thousand) of total quantity of shampoo, cosmetics, 
    mousse; while used to restrain purpose, it need 0.5 0/oo (0.5part in 
    one thousand)
2) It is suggested to use with together the Paraben Ester in cosmetic cream, 
    the added proportion same as above mentioned
3) Usually 0.5 %o (0.5 part in one thousand) to 1 0/oo (one part in one 
    thousand) proportion is adopted in lotion and industrial detergent

Germall-II (Diazolidinylurea) (Plus): powder/liquid
Being antiseptic it can be used in various cosmetics, usually used with together the Paraben Ester. It is powdery or liquid, both has wide-range antibacterial ability.

1) Appearance: white powder, absorb
2) Moisture and with special smell
3) Nitrogen content: >=19.0%
4) Solvency: easy to dissolve in water, only a little in alcohol
5) PH value (1% water solution): 5-7


Methyl p-Hydroxy benzoate (Methyl Ester), Ethyl p-hydroxy benzoate (Ethyl Paraben)
and Propyl p-hydroxy benzoate (Propyl Ester)

They are powdery preservative, usually were used for cosmetics with high security.
