Humectant / Glycerin, 1,2-Propylene Glycol, Sorbitol

Glycerin:
The glycerin is important material to make alkyd, polyurethane, cellophane and detonator. It is transparent and viscous liquid with no or light yellow color, no suspending, no smell. It can improve the osmotic pressure of blood plasma, so it was used as dehydrating agent. When used externally, it is hygroscopic and moisture retaining, can intenerate part of fat layer.

It is widely used as additive, was applied in fields of cosmetics, food emulsifier, drug, tobacco, lubricant, plastics, printing and dyeing, press, paper making, leather, dope, pesticide, mechanical processing and etc. While used in industry, it is usually being hygroscopic agent, antifreeze, solvent and assistant agent.

1,2-propylene glycol:
It is colorless viscous and hygroscopic liquid, almost odorless, easy flammable and with low toxicity. It can be mixed together with water, ethanol and many other organic solvents. The material is widely used as materials of resin, plasticizer, surfactant, emulsifier and anti-emulsifier, and also antifreeze and heat carrier.

It can be used as compound material of vitamin C, drug additive, cryoprotective agent, hygroscopic agent, chemical stabilizer, food additive and surfactant and also used to make hydroxymethyl furfural resin, polyether, propylene glycol and sorbitol.
